Williams to "My Dear Nephew and Niece" is dated December 5, 1913, the envelope is postmarked January 6, 1913 and received in Water Valley, Mississippi on January 8, 1913. Her References to 'Old Christmas' and 'My Mother's Birthday' as well as "Sunday and Sabbath Evening" would indicate the letter was actually written on Sunday, January 5, 1913, not December. Albert Gean married Cynthia Harmon on February 10, 1829. Cynthia Harmon was born January 5, 1809. Lucy would have been almost 70 years old at the time of writing, and is encouraging Walter and his father (Lucy's Brother) William Polk Gean to come visit in Moncure, North Carolina.
